Why soy?
Annie Candles are made with additive free soy wax made from USA grown soy beans. Soy wax is free from the harmful carcinogens and petroleum found in traditional paraffin wax candles. Although all candles emit some black soot, soy candles burn cleaner.
Since Annie Candles wax is additive free, you may notice that the surface area of the wax becomes porous, and some ‘frosting’ may occur. This is natural, and will not affect the quality of how the candle burns.
How do I care for my candle?
The first time you light your Annie Candle, be sure to allow the whole surface area of wax to melt before extinguishing the flame. Do not exceed 4 hours of consecutive burn time, and most importantly, trim your wick in between lighting. The wick is organic hemp, and will not disintegrate as it burns. It needs to be trimmed regularly, or the flame will get too high, the candle will burn out faster, and you will notice black soot develop on the inside of the glass. It is super easy to trim the wick. Simply use the tip of the match or lighter to knock off the top of the wick and dump the debris into the trash!
How long will my candle burn?
If you burn your candle according to the instructions above, a pint candle will burn for approximately 80+ hours. A half pint will burn for approximately………………..

Yes, the surface of the wax is level, it is ok to blow your candle out like this.
Yes, the wick is trimmed to about ¼ inch. Spark that baby up!
